  • Select the ‘Save as’ option from your notepad window’s ‘File’ menu.
  • In the ‘Name’ column, write “qbregistration.dat” and ‘All Files’ in the ‘Save as type.’
  • To save the new file, click the Save option.

Method 2:- Modify the Name of the Registration File To Recreate it

  • Open the File Explorer and then open the installation folder. To do so, you must use the path as listed in the above method.
  • After this, allow to view the hidden files and folders and then search for the ‘QBregistration.dat’ file.
  • Alternatively, you can also search it through the ‘Search’ option.
  • Now, right-click on the QBregistartion.dat file, and rename it by adding the (.old) extension at the end of the file name.
