The stymphalian bird, named after the Greek city

The stymphalian bird was a giant flying snake-like creature with the ability to create and send forth waves of deadly, metallic spikes to attack any enemy that approached. It could also fire powerful blasts of metallic spines that would pierce its prey and spread deadly toxins. It could also discharge a jet of poisonous gas.

The Stymphalian bird had six wings and could fly up to 150 miles per hour. Its eyes were on the top of its head and its jaws were large enough to swallow a full-grown horse in one gulp. It had a massive body metal birds with long legs. The stymphalian bird used these as leverage to leap high into the air. It had razor-sharp beaks with which to attack its prey. These were actually hollow tubes through which the bird could shoot deadly spikes at its victims.

It was said to have lived near the Stymphalus River and was thought to be a very vicious beast that used its sharp beak to bite and kill anyone that got too close. It could also shoot out an immense amount of metallic spikes from its beak to defend itself against any attacker.
