What Is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative Yoga is a gentle, therapeutic practice that gently encourages the body to “Let go, relax, and simply be,” fostering deep relaxation and healing on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. This practice promotes being present, releasing tension, and allowing the body to recharge.

In Restorative Yoga, poses are held for extended periods, ranging from 5 to 25 minutes, using props for support to balance the nervous and endocrine systems.

This practice goes beyond physical benefits; it aims to calm the mind and soothe the spirit. By incorporating props, Restorative Yoga creates a secure environment for profound relaxation, rejuvenation, and healing.

The training program covers the history of Restorative Yoga, the advantages of prop usage, guiding meditation for healing, and providing verbal and hands-on assists. Through this practice, individuals can experience significant relaxation, stress reduction, and a deeper connection to their inner self.

Benefits of Certification

Upon completing the Restorative Yoga Teacher Training program, individuals can experience a wide array of benefits that extend well beyond the training itself. By achieving a 108-hour certification, teachers can confidently lead Restorative Yoga classes and share its transformative effects with others.

Moreover, this certification opens doors to earning continuing education credits (CECs) from both the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and Yoga Alliance (YA), showcasing a dedication to ongoing professional growth and development.

Throughout the training, participants establish connections with a supportive global community, mentors, and seasoned experts, fostering the enhancement of teaching abilities. This network serves as a valuable resource for collaboration, mentorship, and motivation.

Additionally, for those with time constraints, the option to enroll in individual modules offers flexibility and convenience. By becoming a certified Restorative Yoga teacher, individuals can impart the benefits of restorative practices to promote inner peace, relaxation, and overall well-being in others.
