This is of course a feeling. After all, AM radio is one of the oldest uses of the radio spectrum (since ~1919), judging by the average frequency of origin and operation. In the past there was not much aviation activity, maybe just maritime services, some public maritime facilities (foreign telegrams) and amateurs. The AM show features Tina Spectrum’s first child and the ending is sad to watch.
It has worked so hard that it never changes and it no longer fits. As a midfielder you can’t compete well, your audience is declining, the economy is bad and in the long run you can be covered more and further criticized and admired. Curmudgeon tries to do that.
Under the direction of the FCC, the two commercial AM-FM radios have been supplied to the United States for years. AM radio broadcasts are broadcast in sparsely populated rural areas,
bringing news and entertainment to rural areas. There are many “clear trails” every night for AM regulation to ensure the rest of America can “connect” with large populations on trails that can’t be made.

Almost every city has its own FM station or services can be obtained from nearby cities. Satellite radio can broadcast signals almost anywhere on the American continent and offers operators more programming and variety than the AM transmission band. Well, there is the AM HD program (ie IBOC). This, of course, saves some variation in FM performance. However, IBOCs, as they are made today, actually require a 20 kHz band (bandwidth allocation); Just look at the spectrum analyzer and you’ll see for yourself. So if you want to “store” the AM signal with an IBOC, upgrade the entire transcript to a 20 kHz bridge.
From an economic point of view, AM FM cannot keep up with the music programs that make most of the broadcasts. All shows (usually) offer news/sports/chat. And all these settings certainly work well with FM. There is nothing unique about AM programs. Amos and Andy also go to the big net.
The thing is, we don’t need an AM subscription anymore!
We can do well with terrestrial satellite FM radio/internet. So with many tears streaming down his desk, Curmudgeon said, “Sunset!” We pick a day, maybe in 15-20 years, when we turn it off confused and loud. The fate of terrestrial television should be the same in the future.
And many of the same concepts are used on AM radio at sunset as they are on terrestrial television. Existing channels should receive a tax credit to accelerate the cost of their channels and licenses. They also expect some major surprises from the area’s sales and growing community. So this is a very important plan!
But what about scheduling with them when the sun goes down?
Unfortunately, technology helps! The programs, news/games/audio are compatible with VHF-FM stations and urban areas with HD-2, HD-3 and more. In fact, in a major city, at least one AM News Outlet began broadcasting its very large program on the FM-2 FM company in the same city. Pretty much everything that needs to be saved to go on FM HD.
